On the whole 17.8 mln transactions to the amount of 206.6 trln KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-March of 2023. As compared to January-March of 2022 number of payments in payment systems increased by 15.3% (by 2.4 mln transactions), amount of payments by 22.9% (by 38.5 trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)
In January-March of 2023 5.6 mln transactions to the amount of 204.3 trln KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 18.2% (by 870.8 thousand transactions), amount of payments by 23.0% (by 38.3 trln KZT).
On an average 95.7 thousand transactions to the amount of 3.5 trln KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-March of 2023 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2022 in respect of number by 14.2% (by 11.9 thousand transactions) and in respect of amount by 18.9% (by 0.5 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.
Flows of retail payments during January-March of 2023 made up 12.1 mln documents to the amount of 2.3 trln KZT. As compared to January-March of 2022 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 14.0% (by 1.5 mln documents), value of payments - by 12.6% (by 256.2 bln. KZT).
On an average 205.6 thousand documents to the amount of 38.8 bln KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2022 in respect of number of payments by 10.1% (by 18.9 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 8.8% (by 3.1 bln KZT).
