The Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation of the National Bank with the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye was signed by Governor Mr. Timur Suleimenov and Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. Fatih Karahan, during the visit of the National Bank delegation to attend the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in Washington, USA.

The core objective of the document is to strengthen bilateral relations, exchange information and best practices in the areas of central banking.

In particular, the parties are planning to cooperate in studying macroeconomic trends, development of financial markets, researching the activities of central banks in the field of monetary policy, macroprudential policy, financial stability, digital financial technologies, as well as in other areas.

Cooperation between the National Bank and the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye is planned to be fostered through mutual dialogue, exchange of experience and expertise, including joint research activities.
