On the whole 2,9 mln. transactions to the amount of 56,3 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January of 2020. As compared to January of 2019 number of payments in payment systems increased by 0,01% (by 411 transactions), while amount of payments decreased by 32,6% (by 27,2 trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)
In January of 2020 912,3 thousand transactions to the amount of 55,9 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments reduced by 16,0% (by 173,3 thousand transactions), while amount of payments decreased by 32,7% (by 27,2 trln. KZT).
On an average 45,6 thousand transactions to the amount of 2,8 trln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January of 2020 which is less than the level of the similar period of 2019 in respect of number by 16,1% (by 8,7 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount by 32,9% (by 1,4 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.
Flows of retail payments during January of 2020 made up 2,0 mln. documents to the amount of 430,5 bln. KZT. As compared to January of 2019 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 9,4% (by 173,7 thousand documents), value of payments increased by 5,6% (by 22,8 bln. KZT).
On an average 100,8 thousand documents to the amount of 21,5 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2019 in respect of number of payments by 9,4% (by 8,7 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 5,5% (by 1,1 bln. KZT).
