On the whole 35,3 mln. transactions to the amount of 590,7 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-December of 2016. As compared to January-December of 2015 number of payments in payment systems increased by 0,3% (by 117,2 thousand transactions), while increased amount of payments by 2,5 times (by 358,7 trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-December of 2016 14,0 mln. transactions to the amount of 584,7 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 3,8% (by 516,3 thousand transactions), while amount of payments increased by 2,6 times (by 358,2 trln. KZT).

 

On an average 57,2 thousand transactions to the amount of 2 386,4 bln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-December of 2016 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2015 in respect of number by 3,8% (by 2,1 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount by 2,6 times (by 1,5 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-December of 2016 made up 21,3 mln. documents to the amount of 6 015,4 bln. KZT. As compared to January-December of 2015 volume of documents in clearing system decreased by 1,8% (by 399,1 thousand documents), value of payments increased by 8,9% (by 489,6 bln. KZT).

 

On an average 86,9 thousand documents to the amount of 24,6 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day in January-December of 2016, which is less than the level of the similar period of 2015 in respect of number of payments by 1,8% (by 1,6 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 8,9% (by 2,0 bln. KZT).
