On the whole 42,9 mln. transactions to the amount of 834 563,6 bln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in 2018. As compared to 2017 number of payments in payment systems increased by 17,5% (by 6 387,8 thousand transactions), while decreased amount of payments by 1,9% (by 16 018, 9 bln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In 2018 16,8 mln. transactions to the amount of 828 120,5 bln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to 2017  number of payments increased by 11.1% (by 1 671,3 thousand transactions), while amount of payments decreased by 1.9% (by 16 029,5 bln. KZT).

 

On an average 68,1 thousand transactions to the amount of 3 366,3 bln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in 2018 which is more than the level of 2017 in respect of number by 10,6% (by 6,5 thousand transactions) and less in respect of amount by 2,3% (by 79,2 bln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during 2018 made up 26,2 mln. documents to the amount of 6 443,1 bln. KZT. As compared to 2017 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 22% (by 4 716,4 thousand documents), value of payments increased by 0,2% (by 10,6 bln. KZT).

 

On an average 106,4 thousand documents to the amount of 26,2 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day in 2018, which is more than the level of 2017 in respect of number of payments by 21,5% (by 18,8 thousand transactions) and less in respect of amount of payments by 0,2% (by 0,1 bln. KZT).
