On the whole 6,5 mln. transactions to the amount of 177,4 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-February of 2019. As compared to January-February of 2018 number of payments in payment systems decreased by 4,4% (by 297.8 thousand transactions), while increased amount of payments by 24,9% (by 35,4 trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-February of 2019 2,3 mln. transactions to the amount of 176,5 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments decreased by 3,7% (by 90,3 thousand transactions), while amount of payments increased by 25,1% (by 35,4 trln. KZT).

On an average 58,3 thousand transactions to the amount of 4,4 trln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-February of 2019 which is less than the level of the similar period of 2018 in respect of number by 1,3% (by 0,8 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount by 28,2% (by 1 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-February of 2019 made up 4,2 mln. documents to the amount of 909,8 bln. KZT. As compared to January-February of 2018 volume of documents in clearing system decreased by 4,7% (by 207,5 thousand documents), value of payments decreased by 1,1% (by 10,1 bln. KZT).

On an average 105,2 thousand documents to the amount of 22,7 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is less than the level of the similar period of 2018 in respect of number of payments by 2,3% (by 2,5 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 1,3% (by 0,3 bln. KZT).
