On the whole 16,5 mln. transactions to the amount of 387,5 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-May of 2019. As compared to January-May of 2018 number of payments in payment systems decreased by 1,3% (by 214,6 thousand transactions), while increased amount of payments by 16,3% (by 54,3 trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-Mayl of 2019 5,8 mln. transactions to the amount of 384,9 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments decreased by 9,3% (by 593 thousand transactions), while amount of payments increased by 16,4% (by 54,3 trln. KZT).

On an average 58,3 thousand transactions to the amount of 3,9 trln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-May of 2019 which is less than the level of the similar period of 2018 in respect of number by 8,4% (by 5,4 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount by 17,6% (by 0,6 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-May of 2019 made up 10,7 mln. documents to the amount of 2,6 trln. KZT. As compared to January-May of 2018 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 3,7% (by 378,4 thousand documents), value of payments increased by 0,02% (by 0,4 bln. KZT).

On an average 108,2 thousand documents to the amount of 25,8 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2018 in respect of number of payments by 4,7% (by 4,9 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 1,0% (by 0,4 bln. KZT).
