On the whole 27,1 mln. transactions to the amount of 552,2 trln. KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-August of 2019. As compared to January-August of 2019 number of payments in payment systems decreased by 2.8% (by 780,1 thousand transactions), while increased amount of payments by 3,5% (by 18,8 trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-August of 2019 9,5 mln. transactions to the amount of 547,8 trln. KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments decreased by 12,2% (by 1 312,7 thousand transactions), while amount of payments increased by 3,5% (by 18,6 trln. KZT).

On an average 58,4 thousand transactions to the amount of 3,4 trln. KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-August of 2019 which is less than the level of the similar period of 2018 in respect of number by 11,7% (by 7,7 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount by 4,2% (by 0,14 trln. KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-August of 2019 made up 17,7 mln. documents to the amount of 4,4 trln. KZT. As compared to January-August of 2018 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 3,1% (by 532,6 thousand documents), value of payments increased by 4,4% (by 187,4 bln. KZT).

On an average 109,0 thousand documents to the amount of 27,2 bln. KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2018 in respect of number of payments by 3,7% (by 3,9 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 5,7% (by 1,3 bln. KZT).
