The National Bank of Kazakhstan (hereinafter the ‘NBK’) issues “ÓMIR SHEJIRESI” collectible coins.

“ÓMIR SHEJIRESI” collectible coins

“ÓMIR SHEJIRESI” silver collectible coins with gold plating of 777 KZT and 7,777 KZT denomination continue the “Magical Symbols” series. Unconventional designation of the coins’ denomination is used for the first time in coin minting.

“ÓMIR SHEJIRESI” (The tree of life) is one of the most common symbols in the art of the Turkic peoples, genealogical painting that denotes conditionally symbolic relationship of the two worlds - earthly and heavenly. In the view of the Proto-Turks, the tree of life supported the earth with its roots and supported the sky with its crown, sacred bird Samruk lived in it laying a golden egg as a symbol of the sun and light.

Coin description

At the center of the obverse side, against the ornamental background, there is the State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan framed with “QAZAQSTAN RESPÝBLIKASY ∙ REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN” inscriptions. At the bottom part is the trademark (logotype) of the Kazakhstan Mint, inscriptions “7777 TEŃGE” on a 777.5 gram coin and “777 TEŃGE” on a 31.1 gram coin. At the top, there is a “2021” inscription which stands for the year of mintage, in left and right parts are the inscriptions indicating the metal and its fineness, as well as the weight of coins.

Reverse side of coins’ depicts a stylized image of the tree of life and the golden egg. “ÓMIR SHEJIRESI” inscription is located at the bottom part.

Coins are produced:

- Silver of 925/1000 fineness, 777.5 grams, “proof” quality, face value 7777 KZT, mintage 500 pcs;

- Silver of 925/1000 fineness, 31.1 grams, “proof” quality, face value 777 KZT, mintage 7777 pcs.

Coins must be accepted at their face value throughout the Republic of Kazakhstan for all types of payments as well as for crediting to bank accounts and for transfer, they must be changed and exchanged in all the banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Collectible coins were produced at the Kazakhstan Mint.
