In September 2022, annual inflation in the country accelerated and made 17.7% (16.1% in August). In terms of regions, annual inflation sped up in 20 regions.

Growth pace of foodstuff prices in September rose to 22.2% year-on-year (20.8% in August). Maximum increase in prices for goods of this group was reported in Mangistau Region (29.7%).

Growth rate of prices for non-food products grew to 17.0% year-on-year (15.5% in August). Maximum value was reported in Astana City (26.3%), and minimum in Almaty City (13.8%).

Prices for paid services in September rose by 12.3% year-on-year, meanwhile prices went up significantly above the national level in Ulytau Region (16.5%), significantly lower in Aktobe Region (8.2%).

Monthly inflation in the country was 1.8% in September 2022, which is much higher than the average value of September inflation for the past 5 years (0.3% for 2017-2021).
