The National Bank presented KÓKBÓRI bullion coins at the World Money Fair

The National Bank of Kazakhstan demonstrated KOKBÓRI bullion coins at the World Money Fair in Berlin.

The primary goal of participation in the fair was to promote Kazakhstani bullion coins, KÓKBÓRI, globally. The National Bank of Kazakhstan rebranded its bullion coins ALTYN BARYS and KÚMIS BARYS to create the new KÓKBÓRI bullion coin series.

KÓKBÓRI bullion coins received significant attention from international specialists for their artistic distinctiveness, national character, and quality. The KÓKBÓRI bullion coins retain stylistic elements from the series “Cult Animals - Totems of Nomads”.

The distinctive design of KÓKBÓRI bullion coins makes them attractive as an instrument of savings and for collecting. Kazakhstan has become a prominent coin producer through its professional approach to product creation. This is confirmed with numerous recognition in various fields including manufacturing quality, design, and innovation technology.

The World Money Fair is the most significant numismatic forum in the World, gathering together the international coin community each year. It is attended by representatives of central banks, mints, coin and equipment producers, as well as the prominent numismatic publishers. Since 2000, the National Bank has taken part in the WMF on a yearly basis.

KÓKBÓRI bullion coins made of gold with proof quality, in denominations of 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 tenge.

KÓKBÓRI bullion coins made of silver with proof quality, in denominations of 1, 2, 5 and 10 tenge.

The first bullion coins of Kazakhstan were the “Silk Road” series issued in 1996. In November of 2009 the National Bank issued the line of “ALTYN BARYS” and “KUMIS BARYS” bullion coins with various weight characteristics. In 2020, the inscriptions on the ALTYN BARYS and KÚMIS BARYS bullion coins were changed from Cyrillic to Latin. More information about KÓKBÓRI bullion coins can be found on the NBK website.
