Coins of ancient stamps

"Denga"

Face value: 500 tenge.

Date of issue: November 7, 2004.

This silver coin is the first coin from the series with the design of ancient coins' images, which were found during archeological dig on the territory of Kazakhstan. The coin is made with the technology of metal plating on the surface applied for originals.

Denga of VIII century. Turgesh state. Bronze age. Altyn-tobe, site of ancient settlement in Otrar oasis.

Averse: the image of bronze coin "Denga"; the face value of the coin “500 ТЕҢГЕ”,  “2004” means the year of coinage; two inscriptions “ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ”  and “REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN”.

Reverse: the image of another side of the ancient numismatic rarity;  "ДЕҢГА" and  "DENGA" the name of the coin; “Ag 925  31,1 gr.” means metal, standard of coinage and weight; the logo of the National Bank of Kazakhstan; two elements of national ornamental pattern; the century of this coin usage "VIII ғ." and "VIII с.".

VII - VIII centures "Bukharkhudaty" (Rulers of Bukhara city). Silver. Settlement Altyn-tubee. (South Kazakhstan. Otrar oasis).

"Otrar monetasy" (Coin of Otrar)

Date of issue: December 20, 2007.

In the design on this coin was used the image of coin VII-VIII century. The stamp of the ruler of Otrar city in Western-Turkic Kaganat. (Bronze. Konyr-tobe, Altyn-tobe, Kyiryk-tobe sites).
