Different silver coins

Commemorative silver coin 100 tenge, devoted to the celebration of the third millennium by Kazakhstan.

Face value: 100 tenge.

Date of issue: 21 December, 1999.

This is the first silver coin of proof quality minted at the Kazakhstan Mint of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

  

Averce: State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan framed, face value of the coin "100 ТЕҢГЕ", legend "ҚАЗАҚСТАН ҰЛТТЫК БАНКI" in Kazakh;  "1999" means the year of coinage,  "Ag 925" means metal  and standard of coinage.

Reverse: image that symboles a meeting of two millenniums, subjects of past history and signs of future millennia are boldly represented; name of the coin "FАСЫРЛАР БЕЛЕСI" in Kazakh and "РУБЕЖ ТЫСЯЧЕЛЕТИЙ" in Russian.

Commemorative coins devoted to 1500th anniversary of the city Turkestan.

Date of issue: 1 September, 2000.

The city of Turkestan is one of the most ancient in Kazakhstan. The favorable geographic location of the settlement on an ancient caravan route - a branch of the Great Silk Road - as well as the pilgrimage of believers to the mausoleum of a great poet and preacher, Khodzha Ahmet Yasawin - favored its development and brisk trade . The city Turkestan is given an important role in the historical, cultural and spiritual life of the Central Asian region.
