On the whole 65.5 mln transactions to the amount of 787.2 trln KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-December of 2022. As compared to January-December of 2021 number of payments in payment systems increased by 10.4% (by 6.2 mln transactions) and amount of payments by 0.7% (by 5.2 trln KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-December of 2022 21.8 mln transactions to the amount of 776.9 trln KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 15.8% (by 3.0 mln transactions) and amount of payments by 0.5% (by 3.5 trln KZT).

On an average 88.6 thousand transactions to the amount of 3.2 trln KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-December of 2022 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2021 in respect of number by 14.9% (by 11.5 thousand transactions) and less in respect of amount by 0.4% (by 11.4 bln KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-December of 2022 made up 43.7 mln documents to the amount of 10.3 trln KZT. As compared to January-December of 2021 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 7.9% (by 3.2 mln transactions), value of payments increased by 18.8% (by 1.6 trln KZT).

On an average 177.8 thousand documents to the amount of 42.0 bln KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2021 in respect of number of payments by 7.0% (by 11.7 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 17.8% (by 6.3 bln KZT).
