On the whole 53.4 mln transactions to the amount of 610.1 trln KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-October of 2022. As compared to January-October of 2021 number of payments in payment systems increased by 10.9% (by 5.3 mln transactions), while decreased amount of payments by 2.9% (by 18.5 trln KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-October of 2022 17.5 mln transactions to the amount of 601.9 trln KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 18.7% (by 2.76 mln transactions), while amount of payments decreased by 3.2% (by 19.9 trln KZT).

On an average 86.2 thousand transactions to the amount of 3.0 trln KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-October of 2022 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2021 in respect of number by 18.2% (by 13.3 thousand transactions) and less in respect of amount by 3.7% (by 0.1 trln KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-October of 2022 made up 35.9 mln documents to the amount of 8.2 trln KZT. As compared to January-October of 2021 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 7.4% (by 2.48 mln transactions), value of payments increased by 19.3% (by 1.33 trln KZT).

On an average 176.9 thousand documents to the amount of 40.0 bln KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2021 in respect of number of payments by 6.9% (by 11.4 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 18.7% (by 6.4 bln KZT).
