According to results of the Competition of "International banknote Society" (IBNS) Kazakhstani commemorative banknote with face value of 10 000 tenge devoted to the 20th anniversary of independence of Kazakhstan was recognized as "The Best Banknote of 2011". 

The design of banknote was created by designers of National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The importance of this award was emphasized by the fact that the choice of the winner was made by independent experts who haven't been interested in advance of any banknote and based on esthetic perception of design, quality of the printing and applied ways of protection against a counterfeit.
