Outcomes of the Interstate Bank Council Meeting

Ms. Aliya Moldabekova, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, participated in the 65th Interstate Bank Council meeting. Representatives of the central banks of Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan also attended the event.

Members of the Council discussed strategic directions of the Interstate Bank in 2023 and further plans for institutional development.

Besides, during the meeting the participants reviewed the results of the activity and budget execution for 9 months of 2022, approved the Bank’s budget for 2023, summarized the results of the selection of the audit organization to audit financial statements for 2022. The Regulations on the Internal Audit Service were also approved.

The next meeting of the Council will be held in spring of 2023.

The Interstate Bank was incorporated in 1993 as an international settlement and credit-financial institution of the CIS countries. The Bank’s founders are the Governments and the Central banks of the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. The Interstate Bank has representative offices in Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan.
