Information messages on official exchange rates

Effective as of January 5, 2016 the official exchange rate of the national currency per US dollar will be composed as follows: the weighted average exchange rate of the national currency per the US dollar, as of 15-30 Astana time based on two trade sessions on the stock exchange, morning (main) and daily (secondary), is set as the official rate of the national currency per the US dollar for the next business day after the day of trades.
The exchange rate of the national currency per other foreign currencies calculated by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan using the cross-rates to US dollar, established in accordance with quotes received by the channels of information agencies as of 16-00 Astana time on the day of trades on the stock exchange, and is set as the official rate for the next business day.
The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan hereby informs that the calculation base for Japanese yen has shifted from JPY 10 to JPY 1. This change is effective from December 3, 2008.
The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports that the information on the official exchange rate of tenge to the Tajik somoni calculate from 29 March 2011.
The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan informs that effective from February 25, 2014 the calculation bases for the official exchange rates of Tenge per the following foreign currencies have changed: the Belarusian Ruble from BYR 1 to BYR 100, the Hungarian Forint from HUF 1 to HUF 10, the Uzbekistan Sum from UZS 1 to UZS 100. The official list of foreign currencies per Tenge set by the National Bank of Republic of Kazakhstan is supplemented with the following currencies: the Azerbaijani Manat, the Thai Baht and the Indian Rupee.
